What is an Indy Pass?
The Indy Pass is both a physical and cloud based pass that gives you two free lift tickets and a third discounted day at each one of our Partner Resorts.
How does an Indy Pass work?
Go to any Partner Resort’s ticket window to redeem your free lift ticket by presenting your Indy RFID Card! Resorts will scan or look you up to redeem your pass and issue a day ticket. A limited number of Partner Resorts have blackout dates or require reservations so be sure to visit the resort page to learn about any restrictions prior to visiting the resort. Only one pass can be redeemed per day per person. Passes do not need to be used sequentially.
Blackout Dates at Ski Big Bear
If you have an Indy Base Pass or Indy Add On Pass, blackout days apply for the December (Christmas) holiday period, the MLK Weekend holiday period, and the first weekend of the Presidents' Week holiday period. There are no blackout dates for Indy+ Pass or Indy+ Add On Pass customers.
How to buy a 24/25 Indy Pass
On March 1 at 10 AM Mountain Time, returning passholders, any lapsed passholder, and those on the waitlist will have exclusive early access to the 24/25 Indy Pass at their respective prices.
On March 8 at 10 AM Mountain Time, passes will go on sale to the public until capacity is reached. To stay true to the independent, less-crowded nature of our member mountains, the number of passes available will be limited. Last year, passes were on sale for 10 days before the pass was taken off sale, in order to assess capacity with partner resorts.
Are there Blackout Dates/Restrictions?
There are zero blackout dates for the Indy+ Pass, Indy+ AddOn Pass, and the XC Pass. The Indy Base Pass, and Indy AddOn Base Pass have restrictions that are specific to the individual resort. You can review the full list here.
What if I have an existing Ski Big Bear Season Pass / Masthope Membership Pass and I want to add Indy Pass?
Save roughly 30% on your Indy Pass if you have an Unlimited Season Pass at Ski Big Bear! Turn your season pass into a travel pass and explore 200+ independent, authentic Indy Resorts! Qualifying season passes include staff, instructors and ski patrollers. However, your Indy AddOn Pass won’t work at your home mountain (Ski Big Bear.) Instead, make sure you use your Ski Big Bear branded pass to ski with us at Ski Big Bear!
Purchase your Indy AddOn Pass now and submit your season pass proof when you receive it to activate your Indy Pass. Your pass must be verified before it can be redeemed, but proof is not required in the checkout process.
